The Ironclad KONG SDX2WC Waterproof Cut Resistant Oil and Gas Safety Impact Glove is a variation of the original oil and gas industry glove, the Ironclad KONG SDX2. The SDX2 was Co-developed by the Oil and Gas Industry Safety Committee, representing ExxonMobil, ConocoPhillips, Chevron, Halliburton, and many other respected industry leaders.

Like the SDX2, the Ironclad KONG SDX2WC glove provides all-condition grip. It features a highly abrasion-resistant, hi-viz palm that offers extreme durability. The palm has PVC/PU grip dots for grip in all conditions. The additional benefits of this glove include a waterproof, breathable membrane that makes it 100% waterproof and a CE Cut level "D" / ANSI A5 cut-resistant palm that provides a high level of cut and abrasion protection.

The glove is lightweight, breathable, and offers full back-of-hand protection on the fingers, knuckles, and metacarpal bones. It is best suited for use in Oil & Gas Drilling, Extraction & Refining, Fracking, Tool Pushing, Mining, Coil Tubing, Well Servicing, Demolition, Heavy Construction, and Rigging.

The glove is EU certified, CE tested and approved, and ANSI tested. The palm material is a combination of 33% Polyester, 27% Para-Aramid, 20% PU, 13% Nylon, and 6% Glass. The shell is made of 30% Nylon, 25% Neoprene, 22% Polyester, 22% PU, and 1% Spandex.

The high-level cut and abrasion protection is provided by the CT5 cut-resistant material that covers the entire palm. The waterproof, breathable interior membrane keeps the hands comfortable and dry, while the PVC/PU grip dots on the palm provide ultimate grip, helping to reduce hand fatigue while handling tools and equipment.

The glove offers maximum crush and impact protection coverage on the fingers, thumb, knuckles, and metacarpal bones. It is certified to EN 388: 2016 – 4X43dp, providing ANSI A5 cut resistance and ANSI level 5 abrasion resistance.
